The system is almost perfect. It was piece of cake to set and install ourselves and the monthly subscription is totally affordable. The only reason I say "almost" is considering the app is too oft lagging. One example, when someone rings your doorbell it can too often accept a minute or more than to load the alive video. I bought a whole Simplisafe arrangement with multiple sensor and alarms about 3 years ago. I've had my house monitored for $15 a month and the service was swell. $15 monitoring is one-half the cost of all the other alarm monitoring services toll. Recently, Simplisafe contacted me and offered a free upgrade to their newest alarm system. They shipped me all of the newest components of my organisation and asked me to ship them my sometime system. Then, later I installed the new arrangement, I shipped them my old system. I am very happy with Simplisafe. I would highly recommend.

Bought a system and had it delivered, setup was easy plenty and it worked for a little more than a day before the keypad and base unit failed. Spent hours and many telephone calls to troubleshoot it and they agreed to send out a new unit. Same deal with the new unit, worked for several days and I had confidence information technology was resolved until it stopped working, yet failed to inform me information technology wasn't working. Information technology was only after arming and coming dorsum in and exiting without disarming that I realized the system wasn't alarming equally information technology should. The final call was to SimpliSafe today to tell them to cancel the service that never worked, they refunded me $75 of my monitoring fees but I'm stuck with $300 with of SimpliSafe equipment that to exist honest is SimpliGarbage. No refunds of equipment are available, seems like a flake of a scam. I would probably stay abroad from them and go with a more traditional, established warning company in the time to come.

I was very displeased to find out that unless you purchase their company monitoring, the client has no control or access to the organization they bought when you are exterior of the home. I have a photographic camera with my arrangement and I cannot view when someone activates it from the phone app. I cannot even use the phone app if I am not paying for the monitoring. This makes it a complete RIPOFF. Sure, if you are domicile and set the warning for HOME you'll hear if someone opens and enters your home. When Away an alarm volition sound if someone enters the dwelling and doesn't input the code, only you cannot get notified in your app because the exact same system doesn't broadcast to the app UNLESS YOU PAY FOR MONITORING. I was bombarded with emails every day - every unmarried day - about buying SimpliSafe. So, we bought a bundle with 3 cameras which we did not realize were indoor only, a carbon monoxide detector, and front end door alarm, all for most $500. Had my brother install it, since he loves tech stuff and gadgets, and the cameras are okay. If I am home, the app on my phone constantly goes off, alerting me that at that place is activity in the rooms where the cameras are fix up. But when I left for vacation, out of 4 days, I got notified once of activity - I accept 2 cats that set up off the cameras often and my parents came over to check on them while nosotros were gone, and the cameras picked up nothing. And so for alerts, the cameras are useless, except to check in with them to see live video of your firm I estimate.
Second, my brother never could become the carbon monoxide detector to work properly, so that's been useless besides. The front door alarm nosotros don't even actuate, because fifty-fifty in "home" fashion, it'southward pretty touchy and goes off. Lastly, I've contacted customer support about all of these issues, as well as an inquiry about what to do if a cable breaks off the camera if it can be replaced, and I have heard Nothing from them. Amazing how they hounded me every solar day, and then later I purchased from them, they do not answer my questions, even though they always promise to get back to me inside a couple days. I haven't had anyone check in with me since I bought the equipment more than 6 months agone, or in response to my questions using their own website. The wireless Simplisafe system is easy to install, reliable, versatile, and very competitively priced. My wife has never felt safer. The just caveat is the adhesive mounting pads, which are unreliable in my feel. I recommend using their mounting screw choice.

Went with 2 entrances for pads, sensors on all doors, 1 would not always piece of work properly so replaced, move sensors fifty-fifty though my dogs are pocket-size. Had to turn sensors upside down panic button and base station. Setting base station up for wireless had to have replaced every bit couldn't find cell indicate so fix for other cell signal. Since and so no problems. Took less than xxx minutes to fix.

Updated on 05/10/2021: There is no resolution, just got off the telephone with them and they say they back up LG phones from 3 upwards and that is a lie. They removed the older apps for the cell telephone on the doorbell so tin't use on the 3 LG. Yous have to have the newest version of the LG and then the doorbell app works unless your phone still has the OLD app on it and they told me to delete it and get get the new one. And yes and the app had been working yesterday until it had an result yesterday and the rep told me to delete it and go reup information technology off Play Store. And when he had me practice that the new app would NOT Piece of work on my telephone anymore because they removed that app when they upgraded the Simplisafe app for the doorbell to the newer phones after he had told me the doorbell works on all LG phones back to the 3 thru 7.
Simply he (the then called tech) didn't know that the older phones don't piece of work with the latest upgrade they have and they removed the older apps when they upgrade things in that location so after telling me to remove it I at present cannot apply the app on my cell phone for the doorbell. Said, "Deplorable, you lot'll take to get a newer phone." What is wrong with these people that they don't know what they are doing when they are called for assistance? Merely become buy new even when they say the phone you lot have does piece of work with the organization? Just OH NO we had you lot remove the app you did have that would work but sorry we don't have that app anymore for the telephone we told you does work with the phone you exercise accept.
Original Review: I accept had SimpliSafe warning organization for years and love it, just I purchased the Door Bell final yr and had naught just problems with it. They accept sent me 3 replacements, I had my net provider here and they said NOT them later on checking my system and I accept been on the telephone with the tech dept for hours and Cipher they have washed or said fixes this problem.
It will announce that in that location is movement at the front door but when I go to the app on my phone information technology won't open up the front door to see, but always opens the photographic camera in the house even when miles abroad, but I tin can beat on the app for the forepart door, then I volition open the other camera so endeavor to open the door bell photographic camera just sometimes it volition open after I open up the in house camera 1st but nearly the time it never will open that camera someday, but it always tells me there is movement at the front door??? All the Techs I take talked to on the phone (though all very nice) later hrs tell me they will call me back afterwards they cheque things out for an answer, but they NEVER-NOT 1 of them have ever called me back and so NOTHING EVER HAS GOTTEN FIXED for over a year??? BEWARE if you buy The Door Bell from them.

The worst feel. My alert went off early in the morning (their sensor fell off the window and triggered the alert). They chosen me and equally I was home and knew that there wasn't a trouble, told them not to send dispatch. An hour and a half afterwards, the police force showed upwards. I got a neb for $235 which I now have to pay. They refuse to accept any responsibility.

Our family used $14.99 for few years and SimpliSafe has commercial on every place for this price now but increased few bucks without whatever notice recently! I chosen the bill department and said FL started to charge a fee for this, and then added that on our neb. I asked this beak department person to send me the FL fee document to me and she hold me there. I need to work so I asked her to send that certificate to my e-mail but naught was send to my email after few weeks by far. They should accept off the faux commercial of $14.99 if they tried to add fee or unclear fee on customers!

I originally was very excited most SimpliSafe. My base of operations station, keypad, sensors, and interior photographic camera were working great originally. However, problems started in one case I installed a Video Doorbell. The first doorbell that I received was defective, but once I reached out to customer service they were bang-up about getting me a replacement immediately. I installed the new doorbell photographic camera, and the issues got worse. The camera is working peachy, but ever since installing the new camera my app and online business relationship practise not work properly.
I have spoken to iii unlike client service representatives verbally, all of which who had no clue what the upshot was and gave simulated promises to get me off the phone. I also exchanged multiple emails with tech support, each response was given by a different person who wanted me to repeat the aforementioned troubleshooting process that I had already tried. At this bespeak I am then disgusted with this company that I just want a full refund of all of my equipment so that I tin can go to their competitor. I have given SimpliSafe more than than enough opportunities to make this correct, just instead I only keep getting lied to with absolutely nil resolution or improvement. SimpliSafe needs to re-train their customer service agents and fix the issues with their products - this is admittedly unacceptable. I paid for a security system, yet I received the exact contrary of "security" and "peace of mind".

After two hours to install/iv LONG talks with the Client Service Reps (one was over 93 minutes and nothing was resolved because the Rep did not know what she was doing) / being double/over charged.. I now take been disarmed (not me) AND Simpli wants me to call again! Lots of "lip" service. Don't waste your money!
